Why I will never buy a crt again
 

My lcds are getting old so the color is fading a little, so I figure I will replace the big one with a crt. I hear they are so much better for video. So I go to overstock.com and buy a dell 21 ultra scan refurbed and a extended 2 yr warranty. The monitor comes yesterday , im excited. The box is big and weights about 72 lbs. I lug the box upstairs to my office ,wrestle it out of the box and set it up. The pic looks terrible and wont adjust. I call oversotck they are great and are giving me a full refund and paying shipping to send it back but now I have to move that motherfucker back downstairs . Only lcds for me from now on lol

been using an LCD for years. I wouldn't change for the world

colors on LCDs die fast.

i've got 3 side by side and you can tell a huge difference between the
one that's 2 months old, the one that's 8 months old and the one that's
a year old.

if you stare at it all day you can't tell, but if you drag a pic from one screen
to the other you see a huge difference. sad, but true.

on the other hand, my old samsung CRTs are much sharper than my new
LCDs.

FUCK LCDs

Anybody know anything about the relative safety merits of LCD vs CRT?
