I have a company in Panama yeah. People get "Foundations" now though, they're apparently better.
A foundation is just another name for a trust, like a holding company. You can have as many companies under it as you want, and if one of them gets into trouble your overall foundation and the other companies are perfectly fine, especially since in Panama you're allowed to have nominee directors and stuff (people who appear to be running the company that aren't actually, they're just lawyers who have no power because they are not allowed to profit from an IBC or Foundation establish via an overseas client).
There are a lot of websites on this shit, and they're ALL pretty much ripoffs seriously. I paid $1700 for my shit, in reality, the fee for the paperwork incorporation (or foundation establishment) is $300 or so to file, the rest of the junk they offer at these websites could be done on lined paper if you wanted at no cost. If you can get someone to speak spanish for you or you know anyone in Panama (or just try chatrooms) I would suggest finding some 2nd rate lawyer somewhere in Panama. They will be drooling over your cash, and you can make sure they aren't fucking around with you because you can verify with the registry. Its your choice though, $300 or $1700 (actually $1700 is pretty cheap, I think most companies charge like $3K for the whole deal).
Another service they all pretend to offer is OFFSHORE BANK ACCOUNT INCLUDED. Complete BS. What they do, is email you all the documents from a 2nd rate bank somewhere and explain to you what you have to fill in. If you paid them enough for nominee directors and stuff (this is why I paid the $1700 because I couldn't be bothered to find nominee directors in Panama, these have to be real people who are bound legally to do what you say, even though you could probably just use your lawyers office that you find down there) they'll do most of the form filling for you, and take it to the bank for processing. Really the banks all speak english so if you found their website (harder than it sounds), or got their number you would get the same service for free.
Its a lot of work though, unless you use one of these companies it will take you MINIMUM 2-3 weeks to set up with a lot of running around (well you are in your office but still).
I went through this one guy, his name is David, he's from England but he lives down there, and he was very helpful in explaining things, and his fees are good. Another thing to consider is that if you use an agency that gives you offshore companies remember if the company YOU'RE PAYING to start the company or foundation for you is in the USA, then you really haven't gone offshore at all. All it takes is one of their clients to get in trouble for drug trafficking or "terrorism", and homeland security/the feds/the irs/all three will be all over their office and have documentation on you too.
So I'd suggest talking to this guy:
http://offshore-protection.com
(I have no affiliation with this guy or this company other than being a past client). They're all ripoffs, but the $1200 or so they make off of you saves a lot of running around, and this guy is a good guy, and provides support on Skype and the phone.
