Rift reportedly growing between Paris, Nicole
 

Is something amiss in the heretofore inexterminable bond between Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie? More importantly, does anyone really care?

According to the wags at People, a rift has been slowly growing between the "Simple Life" stars, whose shared interest in the life-altering intricacies of such puerile topics as mascara has made their friendship an enriching part of our collective culture.

The reason? It's all about building: That'd be growth, character and its upbuilding. As in Nicole's been gettin' some, while Paris has chosen to remain a little scamp (albeit one who made a reported $5 million for this season's "Simple Life").

Not only is Nicole grown up enough for marriage (she's engaged to DJ Adam Goldstein), she's reduced her body piercings from six to one. At the risk of being, um, branded pierce-o-phobes, we have to say that's a pretty good indication of maturity.

I cannot stand watching their reality show.

Every show their damn dogs take a shit or piss where ever they want, and they think its cute....
