Fuck you registerfly

Thanks for sending me a renewal reminder 3 days after a few of my domains expired already... this is very helpful...
I know its my :error but fuck that... At Directnic you get a notice a week before its too late... not 3 days after the point of no return... registerfly must like the expired domain traffic...

azguy 03-15-2005 08:40 AM

So? There's a 30-day grace period. No one else can take it and you can still renew it for the cheaper price

nastysam 03-15-2005 08:40 AM

Take it easy dude, take it easy.

azguy 03-15-2005 08:41 AM

And I have many domains with RegisterFly and always receive renewal reminders starting a month before they expire and it's resent every few days.. I like it

ssp 03-15-2005 08:44 AM

This is one of the emails I got from namecheap.com today:

---
Dear xxxx,

This notice is to inform you that one of your domains is expiring
soon. Please act fast and renew the domain as soon as possible. If you
don't renew your domain it will be deleted and will be available for
the public. The details of the domain are provided below.

Domain Name : xxxx
Registered on : 4/13/2004 9:23:39 AM
Registered for : 1 year(s)
Expires on : 4/13/2005 9:23:39 AM
Days to Expire : 30
---

I'd say check them out... they now offer FREE whoisguard with every domain you register or renew. $8.88

longbrick 03-15-2005 08:53 AM

I agree, namecheap is good

Lester 03-15-2005 08:56 AM

I have a bunch of domains at www.domainnamesystems.com

Beginning of each month I get a list of what needs to be renewed that month, PLUS a list of what's going to expire the next month.

Works for me...

Trax 03-15-2005 09:00 AM

who cares about the price... the domains are not available and are hopefully never marked as expired cuz otherwise Google will drop its backlinks like a hot stone...
We will see... no need to recommend other registrars though... I am setup pretty good so far

Starting about a month early, and reminders every day.. it gets annoying, especially when I want the domains to just drop.

I'd rather get reminders every day than none at all :)

No probs with registerfly notifications here..

BigPinPin 03-15-2005 10:24 AM

registerfly sucks i transfered all my domains to enom and namecheap. some i still have at godaddy (no problems in 3 years)

Fletch XXX 03-15-2005 10:27 AM

dont go with directnic

Violetta 03-15-2005 11:14 AM

Yesterday I renewed a domain at registerfly, they charged me and I thought everything was OK, BUT then I recived this mail:

RegisterFly.com Domain Renewal failure for Order ID: 1XXXXXXXXX Userid:XXXXXXXXX
We were unable to renew the following domains in your account: xxxxxx.com

WTF?

pradaboy 03-15-2005 11:17 AM

they start 30 days before it expires and then send me a notification every fucking day till the RGP is over. Kinda annoting IMO. I also heard bad stories about them unlocking domains per telephone request without verification :2 cents:

I'm moving everything away to Moniker :thumbsup

yes
I got it 90 days before as well but I just didn't feel like renewing them back then
I expected another notice 30 days before it expires, not 3 days after.

warlock5 03-15-2005 11:28 AM

It seems that unless you do bulk registration pretty much every registrar has some bullshit going on. They should have a premium feature where you pay an extra monthly fee and they give you fucking premium customer service. Whether you are making $24k a year or $1,000,000+ if your domains get messed up you are fucking screwed.

chodadog 03-15-2005 12:19 PM

Registerfly have pissed me off in the past. Their customer support on their expirefish site was just fucking terrible, and their paypal integration just refuses to work with my account for some reason, but when it comes to reminders, they are on top of things. Are you sure it wasn't a delayed email along the line somewhere? It actually annoys me how many reminders i get from RF to renew domains.

Doctor Dre 03-15-2005 12:38 PM

I'm getting DAILY emails from them ... for a month before any domain expire .

Moniker Man 03-16-2005 09:40 PM

registerfly

they are an enom reseller - not a registrar.

I will help anyone on the forum, just let me know

no kidding, myself I have alot of my domains with Fly, and for two weeks straight i got an email a day about one expiring in 60 days lol

I think there might be something in account settings to tell it how often and when to send reminders.
