Anyone using bighip.com ?

Someone suggested using them for my optin emails so i signed up and tried to import my optins but it seems theres no option for that? Does that program only allow you to collect emails through their system or what?

Franck,

I think if they would allow to import it would be shut down in 2 minutes ;-)

We've moved all our moderation to bighip a while ago. When we moved we basically decided to trash our old email lists. Within 2 months we made more $ with our new lists then we did with our old ones.

There is a reason programs don't allow importing ;-)

Franck,

I believe it's 'subject to approval'.

I am sure one of the http://www.bighip.com people will reply soon.

Would be very nice if they approved me to import them once a week or so...shouldnt be a big problem since i can show them the source of my email collecting.

Btw, isnt it ironic how they claim to be whitelisted everywhere yet their confirmation mail for signing up when straight to my spam folder.

We have been using bighip for quite some time now and absolutly love the service. Bill, the owner is always quick to get back if any problems ever arise(which usually end up being our fault anyways). The guy is available 24/7 and gives some of the best support I have ever experienced. If you have have a traffic source that would work well with email collection you would be an idiot not to use them.

Hello Franck, Big Hip changed its Import Policy and does not allow imports.
The reason for this is Big Hip is white listed with many major ISP's including
AOL, Roadrunner, Yahoo, MSN, Earthlink, Hotmail and many more. All Client emails are 100% double opt in. After you create your list you then generate your email panel and customize it to capture any data you wish besides just an email address. Just cut and paste the code it generates on your website, it's that easy
As far as email hitting your junk folder this is something we can't control.
All the mail gets into the network and depending on user settings or HTML size this can trigger filters to place email in a junk box.
White Listing is at the router level. :winkwink:

If you would like more information please feel free to contact me.

Hello GFYers: I have seen a lot of BigHip questions the last few weeks which means everyone is thinking about the future of mailing...it's tough to give up the memories of those $100K days and get into the new millennium...but mailing will most likely never be the same. Average shelf life for a surfer e-mail is probably 30 days, which makes the double-opt-in surfer a different animal.
We've run several articles on e-mail marketing and list management all in our archives at www.klixxx.com - depends on the mailing goals.

We also scrapped our old e-mail list - 65K webmaster names, but too many complaints. We started over with BigHip - gonna take a while to build up again, but we're doing it right and no complaints - and a much more valuable tool.

:winkwink:

:1orglaugh BigBump for BigHip - in case anyone has not seen it - GFYers can learn more about BigHip here http://www.klixxx.com/archive/bighip.shtml and meet Billy in person at the Phoenix Forum - where he can personally answer all of your questions.

BigHip is the future of e-mail - are you going to be part of the future?
