Photoshop 7.0 vs. CS?
 

Is CS worth the extra $? i want to pick up a copy cheap and wondering if CS is worth the extra $$$ since copies of old/unregistered copies of 7.0 are floating around relatively cheap.

I dont think there is a big difference, I still use 7.0

nope. hell i would still beable to use the first version of photoshop for the things i do in it.

If you like text on a path and do any sort of DVD menu / video work then yes if not then probably not.

I was mulling finally upgrading to CS as well
figures, I just get used to using a couple features in 7.0....

Photoshop 6 for me

if your shooting digital, and or using .raw files definately CS wouldn't use any other photoshop program

Im know Im going to get flamed for this, but unless you are really 'high end' then use FireWorks......

I have tried both and I find FireWorks more than holds its own.....

I do switch for fancy text sometimes but that is all
