The guy that prolly could have won the American Idol for 2005 drops off, they bring back Nikki Smith voted off last week.

I cannot imagine why he would do this but we will find out if its something other than "personal" and he accepted a recording contract...to go so far to back out makes no sense...

Unless, he needed to make money for his family and his being at Idol may cost him his kids or something, not even saying he has kids....just saying maybe he had to make a tough choice.

Was watching news items on this and he is very coy..some rumoured he did not want to sign the American Idol contract, he did not like something...other news agency suggest he may have been asked to leave, they found out something....its a matter of time, the news will eventually come out.

My guess is that it is the latter. People like that don't get too many opportunities like this.

Exactly when they felt he had a good chance to win it all. Shoot even if your in the Top 4 or so, recording contracts come....

He was very smug in the interview last night, it was already partying at clubs, and he did not come across sincere...he came across like his leaving was not his idea...it was strange.

He figures he got all the exposure he needs. Maybe got some nice offers. So he quits now, and will NOT be locked into an American Idol contract and will not have to share his money. Little does he know, hes already LOCKED into a deal :winkwink:

You may be right, because at the end of the interviews, he said stuff like, "Don't worry I will be back", almost like he was saying, his professional singer opportunities are not over...and not to forget him....and he seemed very confident and relaxed like leaving Idol was not devastating to him...

So I am leaning towards maybe he got caught talking to other record companies and that was a NO No on Idol...

He was way to happy during the interview, so I think he is gonna sign with somebody else.

They had some dirt on him and had to ask him to leave before it came out and they had another Frenchie. He's happy because, even though he left it released him from his obligation and he's had other offers now so he was relieved. Bad boys/girls don't make American Idols, but they make great rock/pop stars. :2 cents:

Ya, I tend to agree its something along these lines because he was not at all upset, but wanted us to know he will be back, so I took it as he was asked to leave.

It will all come out, it always does...and I will be waiting for the truth because I am so nosey.

Reminds me of some of the other reality shows. Leave for whatever reason, like that French guy leaving The Bachelorette, and you get more attention. If you know you aren't going to win, anyway, why not do something unusual and just leave!!

I think the guy is over-rated, and I think he is acting like a punk. My favorite male is the gravel-voiced southerner, and I like the wild female with the big natural. She lets it all out.

Mario is good, buy Anwar still the best. I think he should win based on talent alone - even if Mario had stayed in. Glad to see Niko Smith back, because he got screwed when Constantine made the top 12 instead of him.

I hear that the idol shows have a lot of rules. You can't appear up to 2 months after it is over.

yeah, as much as I like seeing "rockers" on the show this year, Constantine is too much of a Creed wannabe (I fucking hate all things Creed) but I think Bo will make top 5...he needs a little more presence, but in typical southern rock redneck style, he's my favorite on the show and will probably make out well no matter where he finishes......

I was shocked Constantine made it over Nikko Smith. I liked Mario alot and he would have given Anwar a run for his money. The guys are so much stronger this year than the women.

Amanda, I was shocked she went so fast...I liked her too, but she would have never made it to the Top 5.

Nadia with the big hair has never done anything for me, she has a limited range of vocals.

Don't dis Constantine. After last year's Diva Snorefest, the show needed some testosterone and badboy eyecandy.

I predict Bo will prevail.

Mario has been all over the talk shows...first rumour was P.Diddy signed him and that was proven wrong.

He cannot do anything for 3 months after the finale has aired, but when that time comes it sure sounds as if he got a record deal.

He said the competition was not right for him, but it was not the last we would hear from him..he equated it to falling out of love with it.

Well, I liked Anthony, Anwar, and Constantine tonight, but my two favorites blew everyone away..........Bo and Nadia.
