Multiple Site Joins
 

Question for the websites who allow multiple sites
to be accessed with one "join" ......

How are you doing it???

Since each site probably has its own join page.....
How are you allowing one signup to have access to all 3, 4, 5, etc sites????

Some kinda custom script that writes user/pass to multiple htaccess files???
Some other way???

I need to do this with 3 sites I'm starting to manage....

Join one of the 3, get access to all 3....

one htaccess file for all sites, they have to be all on 1 server to make it easy

2 words.... AUTH MYSQL :winkwink:

They're just sharing the password resource, be it a htpasswd file or a db

Seems they are on 2 servers at 2 different hosts even.

If I am not mistaken it is possible to sell 2 sites or more with one "join" as you say. I believe ccbill has an option for this, only it must be requested and is only available to high volume clients as the chargeback rate is much higher.

That sorta seems unusual.....
Why would the chargeback rate be higher if someone
actually gets two sites on one join???

He is thinking of cross sales...

That makes more sense.....
Can't see how anyone would complain more if they got more.
