Affiliate Rankings? A good idea? or counterproductive?
To affiliates: Do you get motivated when your stats are published in a Top 100 or 200 chart? Or do you lose steam when you see others making many times more than you do?
Your thoughts? Should sponsors implement these types of 'overall system stats'? Or does the context lose meaning/send mixed signals since differing sponsors send differing 'flavors' of traffic? |
I love these rankings.
I am never on top of any program, but I am just curious how others are doing. And keep in kind, such rankings show how much really people make. On GFY everyone is bragging about earning $20k per month, but then you see that the top affiliate of one of the biggest adult partnership programs earns $10k per month with them. Or f.e if you are sending steady traffic to a program and see that you're in the top 10 of that program, then you may ask them for some preferential treatment etc. Or you can better set your own goals, f.e. "I want to be in the top 20 of a particular program" etc. So overall, I like them, but I agree that sometimes some people may wish not to display their names and adresses. |
As long as I'm in the TOP10 all is fine :1orglaugh
I guess it can be a motivation, depends in what mood someone is in while checking stats I guess. |
its great!! every sponser should do it!
