No real dances anymore more. G changes its algo around every 3- 4 months and there's lots of ranking volatility then. Last change in the algo was early Feb, so next one should be before the summer.

Google doesn't dance anymore. The algo doesn't change either. All that happens now is new filters are added. That's what changes the results.

like someone said here, the interval is about 3-4 months from the last statistics!

Depends what's meant by 'dance'. The dance as it used to be doesn't happen as such anymore and the answers so far have been half-truths at best for the most part. The only thing that visibly updates every 3-4 months is PR which has fuck all to do with algo changes. However, non-visible PR updates a LOT more frequently than that :)
