Anyone else feel that a few minutes ago? Thought the whole house was gonna come down.

XPays 03-13-2005 05:09 PM

am up north but was wondering when the quakes would happen. every time we have unusually warm weather i wonder when the creaking of metal beams grinding against themselves will enter my living room...

TheGoldenChild 03-13-2005 05:13 PM

I've lived in San Diego for 4 years and I've only felt one earthquake. I didn't realize it was an earthquake until the next day, I thought a helicopter flew over my house.

DeanCapture 03-13-2005 06:00 PM

Shit - I'm pretty close to Oceanside....didn't feel a thing :(

Zebra 03-13-2005 06:54 PM

http://www.zebrawashere.com/fun/may8_tornado.jpg
The Red line is the May 3, 1999 tornado. The strongest tornado ever recorded and the strongest winds ever measured on Earth.
The Green line is the May 8, 2003 tornado. Not as strong as the May 3rd but still pretty powerful. Destroyed many homes that had just been rebuilt.
The red dot is Scooter's house. The blue dot is my house.
We both got lucky.
Maybe it's time to move to North Dakota?

Rochard 03-13-2005 07:55 PM

High cost of living, prices of houses through the roof, and earthquakes.

I'll stay in Phoenix. Beautiful weather here.
