WindowsXP Weirdness - Help
 

suddenly XP is saving jpegs as .JPG instead of .jpg - pain in the ass to keep renaming. where in XP can i fix this?

WTF? That is some strange shit.

I had a prob where all pic files kept saving as .bmp.... it was a cache prob

Is there a 3rd party application that might of changed the association or default save settings?

hmmm...... good question. i've only used Photoshop and Notepad lately and definitely didn't change any settings for saving files.

im thinking 3rd party also..

Well, like they said above about the cache, try emptying your temp files and see if it fixes it.

I had that problem too

it's located here
start>control panel>folder options>file types
scroll to jpg and check advanced settings

open internet explorer
tools / internet options
delete files.

thats it. Your cache is full.

yeh I get that same shit too, maybe its worth trying for the JPG prob
