Alcohol, drugs, and the adult industry.
 

This is one of the very few industries that business decisions are taken under the influence of drugs and alcohol, very bad decisions and deals you regret the next morning.

I've experienced it first hand and seen it through friends and collegues, i've seen pretty shitty deals been made and hell right now i'm pretty fucking drunk and could make a bad or GOOD move.

Maybe it is something that makes this business so unique? what are your good/bad experiences with drugs and biz? :upsidedow

I joke about drugs and what not, but I do not allow them on my sets.

thats why its so easy to make money here bro... most people are freaking rejects! being sober in this bussiness is like pulling legs off a daddy long leg. being sober is an edge for sure :)

you'd be surprised at how many other markets and industries are the same exact way.

this industry is far from the only one. i will attest to that first hand.

High tech sales. Blow jobs, coke, strippers. Oh how I miss being an SE...

Mixing models and alcohol or drugs is a big no no. Leaves you open to all kinds of trouble.

maybe people just can't hold their liqour. i've done alot of great buisness wasted outta my skull.

merchandising manager for coors brewing at the distributor level. most deals are made drunken and on the golf course.

music biz.
most deals made late at night in clubs or A list events.

anything parallel to music, entertainment, alcohol, and anything supporting is a leisure, luxury career, and normally populated by people who enjoy enjoying thier lives and vices.

the line between career and failure is thin in those markets.

Oh lord the old drugs and porn discussion.

Ok, the number 1 drug of porn is Marajauna.

Should it be smoked after the work is done.... well if you are going to indulge that should be the time to do it.

But then this might lead to problems.

Some directors can't let the artistic juices flow and the porn might suck or not win an AVN award. :1orglaugh

Some camera-men/crew might not be so "cool" to work with and make male talent nervous. :mad:

Note to L.A.P.D. If you really want to be pricks to the porn industry. Don't bother checking for film permits or ID to see if there is outstanding warrants on a person. Bring a dog and have it sniff around. Especially out back where everyone has their safety meetings.
