Would You Be Interesting In Knowing All The Domains A Company / Individual Owns?

How much would such a service be worth to you?

We are currently working on a couple of things for launch later this year and this is one of them however, before we launch we wanted to find out whether this would be a useful tool for webmasters to have.

Your thoughts on such a service?

Would you like to know all the domains that Juicy owns?

Regards,

Lee

Without going in to to much detail, this tool actively searches several whois databases for 'hits' on specific company names or, keywords or, id numbers.

Once it finds a 'hit' it then displays the information on domains owned by the company that has been searched.

Because the database is in a 'raw' format, all information is included, whether you have it hidden or not :)

I think many people would be flipping out if you did that..Doesn't that break any privacy laws?

Brujah 03-12-2005 02:52 PM

Already available. Who do you need ? What will you pay for it ?

Alex 03-12-2005 02:53 PM

As i said previously, i KNOW it is already available however, its not a cost effective solution for many webmasters currently ;)

The one we have used in the past also alerted us to the UDRP disputes associated with the domain owners also ;)

We want to bring a solution to the marketplace that is cost effective for ANYONE to us not just those of us with a big budget :)

Lee

i dont see how this is possible?
you cant search for a domain by the owners name???

spacemonk 03-12-2005 04:58 PM

some people amaze me.....

nastyking 03-12-2005 05:05 PM

a lot of clueless people in this thread :)

i wouldn't pay for the tool, but for the database :)

$17.95 for a one-time search on a person/company for the first 50 results (domains), $.5 for each additional one after that

Or a monthly suscription of $85 for unlimited searches

You can add other types of subscriptions with limits in addition to these two

SmokeyTheBear 03-12-2005 05:14 PM

as an example please post every domain google owns

One of my companies is tracking domain trends for private clients. We constantly scan whois databases and have one of the largest collection of domain entries out there (except for the freaking ICANN people, of course :)). My private clients pay big money for the information we provide :)

Maybe sometime in the future we'll introduce tools for the rest of the users. Right now we're happy with this model.

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh Just last week we delivered this information to one of our clients. I was surprised myself to see some of the domains that they own. But there's no way I list them here.. this client paid seriously big $$ for this data.

Read my other posts. These are the numbers we have in mind if we ever decide to expand our offerings. Right now we only work with large private clients.

There are a few things that can be done. One of them is to actually scan the site itself and extract information from a Contact Us or About page. We're adding this functionality soon. :thumbsup

EDIT: also, it's useful to know who held the domain before it went into proxy-mode :)

network solutions had a tool like that years ago. Now it is a whole different world

Sosa 03-12-2005 07:14 PM

it would be pretty neat, but if I had a lot of domains I didn't want people to know about it etc it would suck. Just depends on how you look at it.

Manga1 03-12-2005 07:18 PM

I don't like this idea at all. It's really nobody's business what domains you own and like was said in another post, if you own a lot of domains it would really suck. Not to mention that if people knew all your domains they could pick apart your entire strategy, traffic sources, etc. Not cool and none of their business.

Domains are no different than corporate public records or SEC filings. It's public information. Just like I can find names of company officers, even in private-held companies, this shouldn't be any different.

So you rape bluedesign on an unpaid invoice and then waste 10k for a service any legit law firm does for practically nothing.

Our law firm can send us this info in an hour on anyone at a very very low expense as a standard practice.
