Phoz 03-12-2005 12:09 PM

Order ahead of time, they're pretty fucking slow at mailing out account information at the moment.

ive used them for years, without a hitch.... great people, great company, and they do great business

fusionx 03-12-2005 12:18 PM

Webair moved one of my sites to a new server on Thursday morning.

The site was up and running fine, from a user point of view, but when I went to make some changes and do maintenance, I realized nothing using perl or mySql was working.

The server had not been properly configured, and was missing a bunch of perl libraries, and my account had not been synced for mySql.

Three hours with tech support didn't fix it.

This morning, I hit up live support, and it was fixed within about 5 minutes.

Sometimes, support can be hit or miss. If you have a critical problem, call them on the phone, and it will be fixed immediately - never an issue with telephone support.

Since this wasn't a major issue, I just waited till morning. Worked out fine.

Use the phone :-)

We just switched our entire operations over to Webair- dedicated plan with 70 domains.

It took us a while to get things organized for the move, and Mike was cool enough to waive the first month's bill(since we hadn't actually used the server yet).

Very cool move seeing as most hosting companies would have billed us anyways.

buddyjuf 03-12-2005 12:42 PM

Pornwolf 03-12-2005 01:11 PM

I have never had to wait for things to be fixed when I call them on the phone at 4am on Sat. (which is when I usually do).

Speed = Good.
Support = Good
Options = Good
Price = Fantastic!

about the price $9.95 for 50GB is a really good deai isn't it?

Juicy D. Links 03-12-2005 01:17 PM

Juicy Approved I not only approve but use em

Steve 03-12-2005 02:52 PM

I would not recommend them. They repeatedly turned off my mysql access (surprise! every time I would try to enter phpMyAdmin, I was locked out), and had issues with some custom scripts just dropping dead.

I would rank them below IS Prime, CaveCreek, Phatservers and Adult Hosting.

spideriux 03-12-2005 03:01 PM

I heard taht it is great hosting !

GweedZilla 03-12-2005 03:54 PM

Been great to me as well, any time i've needed somethin looked at their live support is all over it, including the billing support.

What was there reasons? Outgrew virtual and wouldn't move to dedicated?

Custom scripts? That explains alot of the issue

Are they usually slow at setting you up?

Does it usally take more than a few days?

PbG 03-12-2005 06:46 PM

On average 7 out of 10 love webair.

MrJackMeHoff 03-12-2005 06:48 PM

They are ok for cheapasses but if your serious about what you do and need alot of bw stay away they are major oversellers.. ;)

Sosa 03-12-2005 07:15 PM

they are good, used them for a while when I had some servers up. Great support

Who knows. I'm on day 7 waiting for my account info and still counting.

TurboAngel 03-13-2005 01:55 PM

Mike is the shit.

:thumbsup

cambaby 03-13-2005 01:57 PM

Great support - just get on the phone and bug em and they are usually on it.

pornguy 03-13-2005 02:06 PM

I tried them once. The support was the very worst I have ever had. I guess that they figured that they gave us a great deal on a dedicated box, so they would save the money and not respond to us for CS.

But that is what happened to us. A lot of people use them.

emthree 03-13-2005 02:15 PM

They're a good choice despite the few problems I had recently.
All has been fixed and resolved.

johnny1 03-13-2005 02:38 PM

Support not there strong point..But Very rare I needed support. :thumbsup

Last time I checked Webair is a business...A company that offers web hosting...Just because their business is servicing the internet...Doesn't mean thats the only means of contact...They respond quickly to trouble tickets and online support from my personal experience...But if I want something done or I am not 100% satisfied with the timing...I pick up the telephone and call them...I get right thru to a live person that can physically fix any problems that I might be having...

I'm sure you email your internet provider for questions regarding your internet? No you fucken call them because you want service right then...

Zester 03-14-2005 06:48 AM
