I think it would be fun to see people's photo retouching skills.

I'll find the worst possible quality pic I have in my private stash and lets see who can drum up some magic and make it look top notch quality.

Anyone up for this?

ok. I'll drum up a couple pictures. Some I found from GYy, some I found from surfing and researching TGPs.

Should be interesting, just make sure the photos can be "chopped" for humour's sake :)

Ok, some of these are VERY VERY challenging while others may be easy for some. All in all i think one could really show off their skills with these. I chose crappy quality pics (doesn't mean the girls are crappy, just that one shot was bad) so that i can give you guys a challenge.

When a subject is backlit, it's good to have fill light in front of them.

To be fair, the first and last image are total toss away shots. In both cases, the camera man should be shot for making VERY basic errors. I didn't even bother with #4, because it is such a poor shot (sorry to the photographer, but you should never shoot with a really bright light visible half behind a model:

So much nicer... break the layers out in colors, saturate up the greens and blues seperately, warming filter for the girl, a little lightness.. didn't both to spend the time to tamp down her arm hair

Correct the overall contrast, plus pull the background out seperately and mute it down very slightly to let the girl pop.

Total work time for all 3 about 15 minutes.. I looked at 4, and decide it wasn't worth the required effort (which would need a pixel by pixel repair of the over bright light. It can be done, but you have to REALLY want the picture.
