Yes, but you'd think it would also have to be significant breaking news to warrant such a prominent mention on the front page of cnn.com.

They had inside connections confirming it but couldn't verify it enough to go on record. It's now looking pretty much confirmed and there is a hostage standoff that is about to bring this episode to a climax.

So the answer to my question is "yes".

i could see it being breaking news if it DID have a connection with the courthouse shootings.

I see your point but it's significant because what they are saying is "the guy that Atlanta police shot tonight is NOT necessarily the murderer they are looking for"
