Script to offer free blog hosting
 

I've been looking for a script that allows me to offer free blog hosting.
Anyone has any suggestion, it's a jungle out there :Oh crap

I can make you an auto signup script if you have blog software, I'll have to look at it first, and I prefer it to be perl

I don't have a script yet, still looking for one.
I'd prefer something specifically written for this though

Dunno, maybe try google for "Build a community" theyres a company called that, that sells all that free hosting scripts and whatnot, by now they probably have blog crap

BTW, whats your budget, i could do the whole thing I reckon but to be honest i never seen a blog site and how it works yet, not really my thing

There is a blog module for phpbb. It's free!

There is a multi-user wordpress version. I think it might be called mupress. You could go with the open source Live Journal code too.

It looks good and easy to manage, some of the other script on this page also look good, but I'm worried about support when there is a bug when you deal with open source :2 cents:

you must have one killer business model if your able to charge someone to blog

actually if you do some searching on the web, there are several guys who charge $10 per month or so for blog hosting. most of the free blog hosts make $ by putting up google adsense ads on the blogs they provide. the paid blogs have no ads on them....
