How come all the taxi's in Amsterdam are Mercedes?
how do cab drivers afford to drive them? Isnt that expensive for a cab driver to repair a mercedes than a much cheaper car?
Its like that in alot of places. I went to the Islands of Cape Verde 2 years ago and it was the same thing.
any explanations? |
Because they're all turks & turks always drive a mercedes
nah no clue, they can deduct the expenses from the taxes anyway, and it looks nice, probably gives clients a better feeling |
Yes it is like that at alot of places
because they drive benz's with v4's and no leather :).. u cant get cars like this in the us.. too ghetto
I think taxis dont pay taxes!

YEah, it gives a better feeling of taking a mercedes taxi than othercheaper car, wich means more clients = can afford to pay for it
Rich bastards!
Because Europeans have style
Benzes are really cheap cars, sell for like $5k here in europe
:-) Oh, and the Mercedes doesn't brake down, no need to repair it ;) |
because they ripp of custumers
ride to airport was on S-class benz was like 70$ for like 5-10min :Oh crap |
It costs a shit load to import them in the US. Take that off the top and strip em down and they arent that expensive
They're tax-free
That would be nice if they drove them here...nothing but junkers
spunky,
I notice your location says toiletville. That by chance wouldn't happen to be Port St. John would it ? |

They don't break down. There's your reason. It has nothing with "giving the client a better feeling" or whatever.
the same reason that they say "why are all taxis in the US fords (or whatever the hell they are)"
over here you see benz , but the dudes driving the cabs don't own them ,the cab company does
Because over there FORD is the import, and therefore expensive to buy and repair.
this thread sucks without pics :)
