"Despite his continued ascendancy, Mr Gates nevertheless saw his net worth decline slightly to $46.5bn from $46.6bn."

Sweet, I'm $100 million closer to catching up to him than I was last year!

I saw a show on Gates the other day - it said when he dies he's giving all of his money to charity - sorry kids, daddy just gave it all away

triumph 03-11-2005 11:09 AM

if it were not for the stock market crash a few years back, Buffet would have been ahead of Bill by about 10 Billion.

BUT....lets not forget who is Numbers 10, 11, 12, and 13 (Sam Walton's heirs from when he split his fortune). Together the Walmart family total over $70B, so Mr. Gates still has some time before he catches the Walton's. :)
