You didn't specify thumbs or text, or real or "fake" but if you are looking for a highly flexible text based script for hosted galleries / your own galleries, (ie: a "fake" tgps) see sig for Gallery Admin. You can use it on unlimited domains on the same server.

You can link to generic categories without descriptions ie: "Amateur Pics" and it will pull randomly pull from your database, or you can use the template feature with descriptions and it will build pages with the correct descriptions.

You can then also use it to rotate sponsor links / 404 traffic / whatever...

Do I need to install it on each domain or can I install it on one domain and from there generate pages for other domains on the same hosting account?

it only needs to be installed on one domain... as long as each domain is on the same box of course.

My galleries will be both text and thumbs. Will that be a problem?

Gallery Admin is really a text only script, (no thumb cropping or management features built in), but you could "fake it" by listing the thumb url as the description - but you would of course have to make your own thumbs and manage them manually.
