how important is it for you to get a buisness card from people you meet at shows?
 

how often do you use the cards you get at the shows?

business cards are great for playing with drugs

i have stacks of 100's of cards from shows...i honestly very rarely look through them...maybe once I have done it
most of the people I meet at shows that I wanna do business with get emailed the night I met them or get put into my phone right there with a note by the #

I usually only ask for a business card if im trying to get rid of someone LOL

Most of the time the people we do business with at the shows we already know how to reach as we have spoken previously about setting up a meeting at the shows themselves.

If someone wants to talk biz ill generally chat with them for 5 minutes then decide if i want to do business with them, after five minutes of chatting, if i ask for a business card its usually a good representation that i want nothing to do with you.

That being said, i have a stack of around 500 biz cards in a rolodex sat on my desk right now LOL

I value them and use for future reference in a lot of cases.

i think business cards are nice to have and give out.
it helps people remember you.

I would rather have someone talk to me for a few minutes without trying to sell me something than get a card and reasons why I need them.

I've not been to a show but I would think thats pretty important for networking

very important because I make sure to follow up with them and meeting so many people, my head is overloaded and remember them all.

Very Important I usually make notes on the back of them because like everybody has mentioned you get hundreds per show.

It's not essential, but it is nice to have someone's contact info right in front of you.

As a side note, please just use plain cardboard, no special laminates or anything... I have Marina's sexsearch card in front of me right now and this damn velvet is really hard to roll filter paper out of! :mad:

don't disrespect the velvet cards :winkwink:

I am still using the business cards from Internext and AEE everyday. I love to network.

mandatory if they want a follow up contact made

99% of the time, i never use them but i keep them around in case i have to contact someone that i could do biz with, then i'll shoot them an email or something.
usually if i meet someone and wanna do biz, we'll actually sit down and talk more, exchange numbers and such that day.

sometimes if I need someones info I usually put them in a wallet the rest I just collect and probably never use though I keep them in case

Very important, if you are not keeping the cards and using that information to advance your business goals, then you are just a casual webmaster more interested in the parties than anything else.

I keep the cards I get just in case I ever need to get in touch with someone.
I think they are very worth while.

It's nice but nowhere near as important as getting my card to the people I want to have my card.
