Vote to ammend the GFY Rules! Contest organizers that don't pay to be banned!
 

I want to suggest voting to ammend the GFY rules with the following rule:

- Everyone that organizes a contest must set a deadline. If the organizer skips payment after the deadline ends, his account should be suspended/banned and his info should be sent to all contestants.

How much did you win?

I agree. Otherwise they get the benifits from people that signed up for their program or bought from them, because they want to win, or what not, and then they dont pay out.

I stopped with contests a long time ago.
But there is this other logo thread, for $400 and the organizer is missing! There were many good entries and he just told the contestants that he doesnt like any of the submissions. For all we know he may just resell them now.

We should put an end to this crap going on.

that is bullshit...if you run a contest you HAVE to pay out...there was a similar thing happened last year on here...the dude said he didn't like any of the designs...then when someone went to his site later, they saw the design on there

i would keep tabs on that $400 thread though and everyone needs to watch that their design or whatever it was doesn't appear somewhere else

That's why we have to make sure Lens updates the GFY rules and bans every lowlife that tries to take advantage of the human resources on this board.

Scammers which won't pay sucK!!

They will just create another scammer nick and offer more, the usual GFY court method works well enough already.

For someone with over 2k posts I doubt it won't make a difference to see his postwhoring down the toilet when he gets banned.

i think GFY should make some rules about design contests as well.. or anthing regarding our field.

Banning won't do squat (even though I voted for it). Outing them as dishonest might. Speaking of which...I haven't gotten any traffic that I won a while ago...hrmmmmmmmmmmmm

well, Porndollar's Win a Trip To The Phoenix Forum runs till March 15th and I will be announcing on that day.

and Meatcash's "Tagline Contest" for $500 runs till next week and we will be paying out the same day...

Yep, something like GFY escrow is a nice idea but I doubt anyone from GFY has the time to deal with this.

I haven't been burned in a contest yet but it would make sense to have some sort of GFY moderator to mediate so all is fair
