Where can I find, or what program will reduce the file size of images..

ACDsee 32, PSP7, Photoshop, Fireworks, or virtually any graphics program worth more than .03 cents.

I have Photoshop 6 & Fireworks 4..
I could do this with each individual file, however..I have somewhere between 300 & 500 megs of images..I'd rather batch process them..

Then get something like Thumbs Plus or ACDsee 32.

I'm not trying to resize the image..just the file size..
like changing from 120kb to 80kb..

go to the 'automate' section of photoshop 6 http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif.. half way down the 'file' section http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif

MUCH easier than doing it by hand.. you don't know how many hours this has saved me... and it's virtually ANYTHING you can do in photoshop that can be automated.. you just have to create an action for it...

I enjoy SuperJPG. I think you can get it from download.com and it's shareware.

I'd suggest comparing the compression results from as many packages as possible. In my experience, for example, PSP is better at compressing images that Photoshop.

I use Fireworks all the time to batch re-optimize files. It works like a champ!
