Thanks :) BTW, if you guys want a nice quiet each to lay on, try taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Calm blue waters and not as busy as the beaches in the hotel zone :)

What is the avg. cost of living there for a non-tourist? Is it nice living there year round, what are the downfalls, etc?

Everyone thinks that living here is cheaper that the US, it's not. It averages out to be about the same. If you can find a place on the beach to live, it's great! Aug.- Nov. is hurricane season, so the water tends to be a bit rough. Last year they evacuated anyone who lived within a mile from the beach, only for a day though:(

Anykind of food you want is here pretty much...and there is tons of shopping :) Most people that come here on vacation just stay in the hotel zone and never get to see the real Cancun, that is where you find the good stuff and bargains. But you also have to see the buildings that aren't in too good of shape, all the stray dogs, etc....

I love Cancun! I've been three times and this year i 'll make it a fourth time!
