Making a BLOG - Can I pretend to BE someone else?
 

Hey.

I was thinking, if I made a blog where I pretended to be someone else, such as a model from a sponsor that I am promoting, it would gain amazing interest from surfers.

Would a sponsor (or the model herself) object to such a blog? I'm thinking they WOULD, but who knows maybe some sponsors wouldn't mind...?

well people do that for tgp's so i dont see why you couldn't.

you mean tgp galleries that say "cum see me naked" and stuff?

some might object, most probably will not..

Just make sure you do a good job at it and don't sound like it was written by a guy :)

ya, i guess so... it seems a lot more personal when you're writing a WHOLE blog in her "voice" though, i would think we'd have to be careful with what we say.

I think it's the best idea to not be in trouble..

Ok this is about the same as I was describing in the godaddy thread.

Say you make a blog for Tawnee Stone. (using this name as everyone knows it) Say Steve Lightspeed comes across this Blog and it's a page full of links going to beastyality sites. Steve can under his trademark of Tawnee Stone have that site pulled.

However you can ask Steve if you can make a blog about Tawnee Stone and then he would have to approve everything in order to keep his trademark.

Now say you want a blog against Tawnee Stone ... something like tawneeistoshortforme.com and your blog was personal thoughts about Tawnee Stone ... Then that can fall under the freedom of speech act. and no trademark violations. But it's best to speak with a trademark attorney before doing this. There are many rules that would have to be followed.

There are tons of fake blogs out there where people pretend to be the actual models. Blogspot.com has hundreds of them. Nothing new and the more blogs and adult biz converge itll just dillute the value of the fantasy anyways so if you are gonna do it, hurry up the boat already has left.

I would say, as long as the blog sells that particular model (or site she's in) in one way or another, why not?

The only thing that sux bout all this from a marketing point of view is that if there are too many blogs concentrating on the same chicks, surfers will not believe that it is her everywhere.

If you are going to assume the identity of a real person, I would suggest getting their permission first.

If you are promoting them there shouldn't be an issue . . . unless they already have one
