Do you check to see how much bandwidth your members consume??
Ok, so you charge $30 per month or so...but do you see if that member is being profitable? What if he consumes more bandwidth than what charge per month? Do you check to see how much bandwidth your paying for each of your members? What if your breaking even per month or even loosing money per members on bandwidth? Is this something you guys check?

Good question! We are always checking our member bandwidth to make
sure we are profitable on the monthly rate we charge. |
At $0.50 per gig, which is pretty high for a solution like that due to the high level of bandwidth commitment, your "average" member would be able to download about 60GB worth of content within that month and you would "break even". Of course, with paysites you need to figure in a plethora of other costs when determining probability.
After looking inside many paysites, sometimes I wonder how many even have 60GB of content available. Hehe... |
i have a download cap on my site to stop leechers. but it is set at a decent enough level that anyone just browsing normally can enjoy the site fine.

My member doesn't consume bandwidth, it just spurts goo once in a while...
Oh, and it empties my bladder for me. But that's secondary. |
