Cleaned my computer

Spring cleaning. I pulled the cover and vacuumed it all out. The heat sink fins and the fan were a mess. Hopefully this extends the life of this pig but anything else I should look for? I also replaced the clock battery as the damn thing was always way slow.

You seriously vacuumed? Is that ok to do? I'm cleaning all mine soon, was planning on using that condensed air stuff.

I do both....condesned air spary to loosen the dust and vac it up at the same time.

Spunky 03-09-2005 01:27 PM

I use compressed air...vacuums can cause static electricity with the nylon bristols

tank vac. No idea if it ok but the thing was so dusty. The openings for into the box were half clogged.

I do the same thing. Works OK, but I should take a couple hour to take it appart then air spray the motherboard/video card and all that crap then put it back. Lots of dust get sucked into the powersupply, behind the motherboard, inside cd/dvd drive :2 cents: But i'm too lazy to do it now :upsidedow
