No. All over the world Americans on a holdiday claim to be Canadian now.
That should tell you something about the way Americans are looked at nowadays.

Worst thing is... it's not even bullshit.

I have a client who's gonna setup an european office here in Denmark and they kept telling people they were from Canada instead of America. So I asked them why and they said they didn't wanna end up getting their ass shot.

I was a bit surprised because Denmark is not exactly a place where americans are unpopular. People here don't care where you're from as long as you behave. Just ask YoAdrian :)

Americans might not be that unpopular in Denmark, but the American government is VERY unpopular in large parts of Denmark. Just like it is in most of Europe at the moment.

Many goverments are unpopular if you make a poll but at least people are intelligent enough here in Denmark to not judge an entire nation based on one or two people in the american goverment.

What does he have to do with the US govt? Some folks can't make a distinction - but, yea, suspect most do and got nothing against folks because they happen to originate in the the US.
