Anyone got XM radio

How do you like it?

Jason 03-08-2005 10:56 PM

love it.. never will go back to radio

SplitInfinity 03-08-2005 10:57 PM

I have had it two years now. I love it!

Slick 03-08-2005 10:57 PM

I have it and absolutely LOVE it ! I'd never go back to regular radio.

I guess that if you need one all depends on how happy you are with your current radio stations. If you live in a big city with tons of variety, you might not need it, but if you're like me and live in an area where there's only one rock channel, one classic rock, a pile of country channels, and 2 of "Today's Hits", then you'd definately wanna get one :)

Not having commercials and seeing what song is playing is a great touch :)

Slick 03-08-2005 10:59 PM

Oh yeah, they're also changing their plans to have "Opie and Anthony" on basic service. Those guys are awesome !! I currently pay the $1.99 for it, but it's gonna be part of the basic service in April.

Yes but they are raising the price of the basic service to $12.99 :)

I have Sirius and love it. Starting in January Howard Stern will be on without the FTC to worry about.

Yeah, that's true, they're also gonna give you their online XM access as part of that (which I was thinking of doing anyways), so that does make it worth it :)

I thought that it'd be cool to check out Howard, but after listening to Opie and Anthony, I'm not gonna have a need for him :)

I just love my XM, can't live without it. Don't care about the fee. Have it in my car and in my office (gotta listen to America Left Channel 167, Ed Schultz rocks)
Looking into the wireless headphone thinggie now. But I think I wait until the price drops

KRL 03-08-2005 11:12 PM

I love Sirius. You get free internet streams of all the channels also. So you can listen at work or at home on your PC too. Sound quality is excellent.

Howard Stern will be on Sirius beginning next year.

Sirius also has its Sats positioned for better reception without drops.

I love my XM radio more than I have ever loved a woman.
And it has treated me better

XM > *

I am a little pissed that they are jacking the price up from $9.95/mo to $12.95/mo for basic service. I really don't give a flying fuck about their stupid baseball shit either.

Hmm ... maybe at first because FTC jurisdiction was not created with satellite in mind. It could easily be altered to incorporate such broadcasts, and I'm betting it will. Satellite is essentially just a new version of radio, and it's only a matter of time before the laws catch up to the technology. As a subscription service, they may be more free but the FTC will be on them sooner or later.

I have Siruis and love it!

detoxed 03-08-2005 11:51 PM

I have it, for music... well honestly i have to look and look for a song that I've actually heard of, and I've never sat there listening looking for new music on it. I like the comedy channels and the news, and now that they have MLB I'll listen to the Braves a lot this year.

You have it at home or in the car?

PrintAdult-Sales 08-17-2005 07:23 AM

I have to get XM asap!!!

Allison 08-17-2005 07:27 AM

I love it too, definitely helps with the ride into work and not having to listen to corny DJs in the morning.

Opie and Anthony are good, Phil Hendrie at night is even better...I would say I use XM for talk about double as much as I use it for music, although there are some pretty cool music stations on there too.

Sirius sucks ass. "Hoo hoo, Robin. I invented radio waves. Tell 'em Fred".

LBBV 08-17-2005 07:33 AM

I've had XM radio in my car and my house for almost 2 years now and absolutely love it. I also use the online streams when I'm listening to music at the office or in hotel rooms. Deep Tracks and Comedy 150 are my two fave channels :thumbsup

Slick mentioned that you might not need it if you live in big city...well, I live in Atlanta and I just got tired of hearing the same songs AND annoying commercials. I'll never go back to standard FM....

EroticySteve 08-17-2005 07:37 AM

I'm a Sirius fan. XM's lineup isn't as good. Sirius has it nailed. I'm also a Stern fan. It was great to hear that he's moving to Sirius. It will help because Stern is only available on AM here.

WebTitan 08-17-2005 08:18 AM

i am going to go with sirius once stern makes the change over :thumbsup

Nubiles 08-17-2005 08:29 AM

I have XM in one of my cars and Sirius in my boat. I like Sirius much better but Im not on the boat as much.

born 08-17-2005 08:32 AM

I have it and play Fox News on it in the office all day.. I love it!

AcidMax 08-17-2005 09:18 AM

XM Rocks and their uncensored comedy channel makes a long drive, short.

betsy 08-17-2005 09:20 AM

love my XM myFi and the online streaming.
