ive got my wireless cam setup..
Got an axis pan cam to monitor the house and a cheap sitecom wireless cam to monitor my front door!
Unfortunatly i cant monitor both cams from the same software (or use java but then i cant setup motion detection) so i have to split the surveillance screen on my desk. I feel like tony montana now!!! :thumbsup Anyway: for the outdoor view cam: is this legal? The space im monitoring is public property so are there any legal/privacy issues involved? |
i don't think you'll have any problems looking over public property as long as your not trying to capture people naked or whatever. Might just want to call your local pd and ask them.

Well THEN we have a problem!!! No, just the occasional neighbour passing by.. they always bitch about shit so they will bitch about the cam eventually although ive hidden it pretty well. Just a matter of time tho.. ill check just to make sure. |
what's the reason for putting up the cam anyways?

And Soul Rebel: i confess.. this whole west-east side thing and all the hatin between you and me got me extra cautious. |
haha nice setup man :)

Why not have it record time lapse to your pc on motion, and then get a camera specific monitor for your feeds (most can handle 4 with no issue).
Or just run it through that monitor first and then to the PC. |

It has auto motion recording on both cams. Just cant view two camstreams realtime simultan. I can review the captured motion movies afterwards simultaneously and theres no need to view whats happening realtime inside when im here anyway :) |
which cam works best for monitoring or is there any difference?
