What's the LEAST someone can make by submitting galleries daily?
 

Well, a few days ago I started a thread that was the opposity of this one (http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=439985). And since it turned out to be such a good business thread I decided to start a new one.


Lot's of people complain that TGP traffic sucks and that submitting galleries daily doesn't generate enough $$ to compensate. So it got me thinking, what do you guys think is the LEAST someone can expect from submitting 1 gallery a day? Also please feel free to share your horror stories about gallery submiting and the mistakes you have made in the past. I guess we could all learn from each other mistakes.

The least they can make would be $0.00 CDN.

That isn't counting expenses of course

my mistakes when I was submitting galleries:

* using free hosting ( revshare hosting )
* using shitty gallery templates ( I have no design skills AT ALL )
* using overused content
* bad organised folderds ( not organised at all )
* a polish email adress
* being too lazy to submit regularly


needless to say that was very frustrating for me and I moved on to some other ventures

I really don't think that's possible if you submitted 1 gallery everyday!

When I used to have a full time job, I played with some galleries, some MGP's, and never really made anything (Maybe $500 a month).

When I decided to quit my day job and gamble on myself, I moved to Costa Rica with about $7,000 to my name, no job and what I could carry in my luggage.

The first month I did nothing. After working full time for 10 years straight, I fealt I was owed some sort of vacation. Needless to say, after a month I was quickly running out of money.

They say necessity is the mother of all invention. Well, it worked for me. When I finally sat down and dedicated myself to working full time at this type of thing, I began to learn. I listened to others, I lurked on boards and I read everything I could. The first month I made about $1500. Within 3 months I was making $5000, within 8 $10,000 and after a year, constanly over $10,000 a month.

That doesn't really answer your question, but it's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Is that from galleries only? And how many did/do you submit daily?

I have some paid partner accounts, totalling around $250 a month. Originally it was all from galleries, I do have other income streams now, but the Lion's share still comes from galleries.

I was lucky to have been in the business, even if I wasn't making any money, for several years before I got serious. I had several good contacts by that time, especially with MGP owners.

I also had a couple of Dutch guys, from Fucking Free Movies and Here Is The Porn decide they liked Canada so much they wanted to visit for extended periods of time. They stayed with me most of the time and they were an invaluable resource to learn from.

I submit between 5-7 galleries, depending on how I'm feeling. Before people start jumping on me as a "cheater", I don't hide it from anybody. If I'm submitting multiple domains, from proxy to a site, it's not a secret it's me doing it. In many cases I'll have 3 or more partner accounts on a given site. After you deliver quality, stable galleries for an extended period of time, you gain people's trust. If you submit different templates, for different sites, with different movies, most people will welcome multiple submissions. :2 cents:

I had to buy a bed, a desk, a computer, pay rent, pay extreme dial up charges, move to a new house and pay the deposit ... It ate through $7000 fairly quickly.

Thanks for your input bro. How many hours do you spand daily submitting your galleries?

It varies. I can get 8 galleries done in 5 hours if I bust my ass. I pre-encode and cut my movies for an entire scene ahead of time, so I just need to make thumbs, upload and submit.

On an average day, I work for about 8 hours. It includes galleries, TGP updates, chatting on ICQ, and reading GFY.

I made like a couple hundred a month, LOL, dont laugh now, I guess it might have been closer to 500, but I was paying for outsourcing, so it wasnt very successfull, thats why I keep trying to hit you up on ICQ Brazil man, lol, I'm the Australian, lol

As with anything you only get as much out of it as you put into it.

some people never perceive few things. It doesnt matter how many galleries you make in a day, but how much traffic you can get to m and how well you can convert the traffic. Having said that those that bring the vast majority of the money from tgp never do more than 2/day.

True. If you are submitting with chameleon submitter, only less than 5 % gives you over 500 hits per day. Most tgp's sucks!

hardly. Nichepay doesn't use MPA2 and never has, and has never had stats that look like that, that's for sure.

The program that I got that screen cap from has since been doing a lot better. I modified the colour of it so that no one would know just which program it really is.

I'll keep it simple. It all depends on a few things like your design, content, processor (ccbill...cough cough)...etc.

Ive got a buddy who just started submitting, hes making a few hundred a week, but then youve got to account for hosting...so there you have it.

I have done tgp's for a time now, I tried to submit them with sponsors, and then I did some with my own pay sites. I find that I make more with my pay sites, than with sponsors.

The least is the least, not matter what way you look at it.

The whole 'game's' and balancing act. Once you've learned this, you are much better off. You have to balance bandwidth with return, renenue with expenses, and design, outsource, and profitabilty.

There are plenty who make their own and do well. Many buy templates. Traffic, you need it to get people into your site, but if they never convert, it's pointless and just another way to run up your tab. The name of the game's conversions, and no, traffic does not always bring it. You need a good design, tour, affiliates, or whatever it is you are doing. Basically, people to bookmark you and come back if you did not get them on the first visit.

You also need to put enough stuff out there via TGP/Free Site/Link Lists to make sure you establish your brand name. I'd say two a day is plenty, but if you want to spend all day doing it, I am sure there are webmasters who swear by that as well.

TGP's are what they are. In hub of sites they can be useful. A big hit of traffic for a short period of time. Link lists will bring you a bit more steady stream and bump you up on search engines. Partner accounts will atleast get your shit listed and maybe a better placing. IMHO banner ads are fairly worthless unless you are on a insanely successful traffic site with good placement.

As someone said, 5% of TGP's are low traffic yeilds, so you need to balance your time spent. Honestly you do a lot better finding out who are the main traffic providers for your niche, and narrow down the list to just those. 30-50 good sites, and 2 galleries a day are a lot better than 500 shit sites. But it's a balancing act.

I guess in the end it comes down to, "what is your time worth?"

There is still money in free submissions but soon you will learn that you only need to submit to a hand full of tgps and paid listings/parther accounts are a must

with partner accounts anyone can make a nice profit...if you cant get out of this business
