Cumulative impact probability. 1.5E-4.

tranza 03-07-2005 02:23 PM

Did you even see this link?

http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/torino_scale.html

According to that scale: A routine discovery in which a pass near the Earth is predicted that poses no unusual level of danger. Current calculations show the chance of collision is extremely unlikely with no cause for public attention or public concern. New telescopic observations very likely will lead to re-assignment to Level 0.

By comparison to the others though (1 in 3,000,000 chance), that's pretty close.

The rapture is going to happen way before that, so I'll be chillin with G Oh single D while all you heathen suckers are burning on earth and suffering plagues.

What, you guys don't believe in the rapture?

Rich 03-07-2005 03:18 PM

Seriously, this is probably the biggest threat the world faces. I wish instead of spending trillions trying to be able to nuke eachother from space, everyone will work on a solution to shoot down an one of those bastards heading for earth.

Too bad everyone's an idiot but me. :glugglug
