Do you call it a scam?
 
Person a (some GFYer) sells to person B (myself) domain name. Person B got tha domain, that expired 2 weeks ago, and cannot change dns nor refer it to his server, unless he renew the domain.

Do you call it a scam?

not a scam, but he should warn you. But then again, if the name is good, then you probably will renew it for a few years anyway

Why scam? You can check the domain before you buy...

OH I didn't write it...

This is the main part

when checking the WHOIS info, you see the domain expires in a year (feb 06), but this is because the registrar (registerfly) registered it for 2 years

but in your account it is was registered only till feb 05, and you have to renew it

I checked the whois and it seemed fine, but the seller didn't tell me i have to renew it
