I use to. Not any more. They are criminals, liars, and thieves.

You know, it occurs to me that about 2-to-3 years ago certain things happened with Ibill that pissed off a lot of webmasters, both clients and their affiliates. Many many webmasters migrated over to CCBill, Jettis, etc, and not much was heard from the Ibill camp for some months.

Then I noticed a banner ad at the top of several webmaster forums (including this one) early last year. That banner read as "We've missed you.... we want you back", and smacked of promises and the hope of a new and better option in processing. And here we are just over a year later and look at what's happened. Ibill has again made some very poor choices and now their clients and affiliate webmasters who chose to either stick with them or chose to "go back to them" are now bearing the brunt of the problem, financially speaking.

How many times can a company burn it's clients before said clients wise up and stay away for good?

I wish I knew.

All I know is from my perspective, the proof is either in my mailbox, or it isn't. If the cheques don't arrive, or if the do arrive but they bounce, well that's pretty much were it starts and ends for me. What about you?

There was a thread on Friday re: ibill and other "new alternative" 3rd party billing companies.

Funny thing is - how many people have had affiliate programs disappear and yet the same people come back and open a new one with all the same backers etc hell same content just different domain names - while the old one has basically taken the money and ran... I can think of 5 right off the top of my head.

Come on- the people at ibill are smart - at least to some degree - they did learn how to do it from the best............

Any company that issues boucing checks - whether an "error" or not - don't know what the hell they are doing or are scammers.

iBill not only issued crap checks, but agreed to replace them and failed. That then forced a legal agreement on them to pay by X date. They failed to pay on that due date. Why bother? :-) The track record speaks for itself.

why are the active recurring customers still being re-billed if ibill is planing on not paying webmasters?

Webby, you seem to know what you're saying. Is there anything you'd suggest I do about the owed money? Threaten to sue? I don't really want to forget about it and move on, it's too much [by my standards]. US merchant.

if they were smart they would change their name at least

Dagwolf 03-07-2005 03:58 PM

I wouldn't touch that company with a ten-foot rusty fork at this point.
