I have no idea, I'm in the same boat as you, losing joins... anyways, they'll be online within 3 hours so I *hope* the downtime won't be too long.

BRISK 03-07-2005 03:25 AM

Is there some rule to the universe that says downtime must always happen in the middle of the night when nobody will be around to do anything about it for hours?

Is it just me or is this happening way to often with TCG?
They are still down for me.

bigjb 03-07-2005 04:57 AM

Keyser,, we havent had any meaningful downtime in a while.

Shit happens.. Trust me we have 3 people working on the problem.

This is a Net App filer that costs $53k so I am not happy at all and will
have a full report once this is back up on why this happened.

Great, when I finally getting listed at the hun my sponsor goes down. Well thats life, just hope it will be up and running soon.

bigjb 03-07-2005 06:03 AM

Update.. TCG main Filer that has hot swapable drives had a harddrive
failure,, Normally no problem since the bad drive goes out of the raid
config and new drive picks up and copies data. As Damn Murphys
Luck would have it at the time the data was copying over to the
new drive CWIE/Cavecreek did a cold reboot on the machine and fucked
the other drive.

We have our main sys admin there now,, we also have a giant apple
storage machine that we have as back up so we didnt lose any data.

However we are have a net app engineer on its way to the data
center since we have immediate support with some other drives.

Apologies about the problem but we are working as fast as we can.

In case anyone asks,, The answer is Yes you will be compensated
for downtime.

ytcracker 03-07-2005 06:05 AM

awesome jb thanks for the update

fris 03-07-2005 06:11 AM

damn i have 2 tcg listings on pinkworld too heh

Mpegmaster 03-07-2005 07:16 AM

Hmmmm....
where does TCG host?

Bigfuck 03-07-2005 07:28 AM

Thanks for letting us now JB:)

bigjb 03-07-2005 07:29 AM

TCG hosts at 4 different places,, anyways we are back up.

Sorry for the problem.. might have some sporadic problems
today when Engineer gets to data center to check our filer.

If you have a really crappy sales day based on prior sales days
please email sales at trafficcashgold and we will make sure your
compensated.

BTW,, wait till u see the new lovedollars.. I have to admit the new
program and sites are kick ass.. Beta testing stats now.. Prob live
in 3 weeks..

Good stuff JB. TCG rock :thumbsup

simple simon 03-07-2005 09:26 AM

Compensation is great and all , BUT there is NO other large program approaching the amount of downtime TCG has. Its truly quite fascinating the exorbitant amount of downtime TCG has had and apparently will continue to have. :2 cents:

you still get your money which is why you should't have a big problem with it.
I am sure jb will do even more to master the problems even better. Massive growth always came along with minor problems. Remember when AFF has had problems just a few days ago? They worked it out and now everything is fine again. TCG ain't having downtime on purpose I believe lol

They are a big program so every down time gets posted. Although they do seem to have a few more growing pains then other programs I see a lot of down time with other programs that never gets posted here.

TCG still converts better for me hands down.

As long as there is compensation I won't complain.. much :)

Same here, especially if its based on a 4 week floating average per hour like in the past. I make more when they're down then up :)
