Ebay Auction Shills / Scam
OK, I was wanting to bid for a camcorder on Ebay.
Products from the Sears Liquidation Store. At the last minute (like last 15 seconds actually) I watch as auction after auction is snapped up by an one of two outfits that buys like dozens of electronics items from these Sears Liquidation Store auctions. Evry day it seems. I mean dozens and dozens Makes no sense to me. These items aren't "that" in demand..... I was looking at a Canon ZR65 camcorder. At 100.00 it'd be a decent deal. At 171.00+ it's just crazy. Especially for a store demo or return item I can get a brand new ZR80 near me for 255.00 I checked just to see what similar items might sell for Is this an automatic program doing this in some kinda shill operation to make sure Sears sells these products at a certain price??? Way odd that a couple of outfits are buying hundreds of items all within the last 30 seconds of these auction..... And I mean the price went up 70.00 in the last 2 minutes or so. That's nuts. Uneducated buyer(s) ?? or shill operation...... ?? Oh well...... |
Theres a buncha of "snipe" websites that will allow you to bid on 100s of auctions within the last few seconds of it closing.

I always wait for the last 5-10 minutes to finalize bidding.
Got some bargains in the past that way Passed on some stuff where it made more sense buying something new The odd thing here is the dozens and dozens and dozens of sales all jumping up not 10-15 bucks but 35-50-75 bucks in the last minute. No one should these kinda items "that" bad..... Gotta be a bot auto bidder of some kind |
