Can this be done with a regular LCD Monitor
I have a few spare 17inch LCD monitors, im trying to see if i can convert to plus on the monitor to accept CCTV type plugs so I can watch the cam on a nice monitor instead of thos bulky boxes?
Anyone know? |

There are a few devices to convert your coaxial cable into something monitors can understand. You plug your CCTV into it and plug your monitor into it as well.
I dont think any monitor can natively support anything other than a "computer" connection of sorts unless its been designed to. Nothing as simple as a serial -> parallel port adapter exists for that. |
No you can not if its an old CCTV system icq me for more details, we own a security company and dela with cctv all day

$41.00 at radio shack or best buy. BNC to RCA adapter (.90 cents) the use a video converter like the ones from WinTV or or whatever they are that does analog to usb ($40.00 in todays best buy ad).
edit - assuming you are running it through a computer. |
offtopic: What happened to you over the last weeks ?

You need a NTSC video to VGA converter.
