sexyclicks 03-05-2005 08:01 AM

I did once because he did some nice work

Bigwilly 03-05-2005 08:25 AM

is it like a waitress or something where they expect a tip?

BastarD 03-05-2005 08:51 AM

My best friend makes tatoo projects. He does great work, some of his arts are amazing. He is really cheap - his prices starts from 30$. He had situations, while buyer paid him 1000% of his price, just because his project was fuckin amazing..

So I think, yea, you should tip em if work is really good.. :)

Oncle_Benny 03-05-2005 08:56 AM

TurboAngel 03-05-2005 08:56 AM

exactly...When I got my tattoo (piercing/tattoo place) I did it and a few weeks later I got a piercing (tip again) and bought a few other things that came out totally free (tip < cost of free things) so you don't loose anything doing it. :thumbsup

this is not a meal you will shit out tomorrow - its a part of you forever. tip them well ... reputable artists put a great deal of care in their work ... i tip the living bjesus out of them. :2 cents:

Tala 03-05-2005 09:19 AM

I ALWAYS tip My artist. The better the job and the better the attitude, the better the tip.

Fletch XXX 03-05-2005 09:20 AM

if you tip anyone in your life, it better be your tat artist.

Bigwilly 03-05-2005 09:44 AM

Then you should have done a little more investigating of his past works. A good tattoo artist doesn't turn skill on and off. A good tattoo artist produces good tattoos. If you convey what you are looking for properly, have checked his past work and haven't pissed him off, things should always turn out right.

As far as tip goes, I always tip ATLEAST 15% on the entire price of the tattoo. More if I am so inclined but never less than that.

I tip almost everyone that provides a service. So yep, I do tip him, I don't think they expect it, but it's always nice, especially if they've done great work or spent a lot of time on you.

That?s like anything in life itself.......do your homework....investigate.....you wouldn?t want someone who just passed the bar to defend you for double homicide or an intern conduct your double bypass surgery.

Spunky 03-05-2005 11:04 AM

20 bucks is a decent tip
