Are those pics from the storm we had up here a couple years back? It was so bad it'd snap full grown trees in half. :Oh crap
beautiful shots....... :)
Friend that emailed me them says they are in Newfoundland.
Would that mess up those cars or do you think that once the ice melts off they would be in perfect shape? I would be so afraid of that happening to my car if I lived there. Good thing I don't, lol.

you wouldnt even be able to drive on the road if you did get it started, plus the risk of your tires popping from the extreme coldness |

I imagine with all the extra weight of that ice there is some damage to the car.
Seen some of those pics. Pretty darn amazing
You need a pick axe as a ice scraper :Oh crap
wow that'd be great for hiding corpses

That doesn't mean it can't get bitter cold afterwards of course, but when it's doing the ice rain it's typically not that cold at all on the ground... between -3C and -7C is common. Ice fog, on the other hand, can and often does happen in extremely cold temperatures as a result of the air having a difficult time holding on to moisture when it gets so cold. Ice fog can be *deadly*. Here's a picture of a place in Whitehorse in the middle of an ice fog... at -42C. Hope the guy taking this pic weatherized his camera for the extremes. At that temperature, your eyes can literally freeze shut when you blink, from the flash-freezing of tears holding your eyelashes together. http://www.explorenorth.com/library/graphics/icefog.jpg |
heh that would suck
wow, I think there are very cold :)

my mother and brother went through the ice storm a few yrs back and the damage to the trees etc was terrible! just glad they had a wood stove and generator, they were without water/power for 16 days and became host to some neighbours that didnt have heat sources etc like they did. |
scary shit right there ;)

I don't want to be anywhere where it snows every year, let alone do that! :eek2
That pic from Whitehorse looks like some of the weather we have here every winter.
whoah awesome pics man, where were they taken?
I'm amazed that people live like that... If it drops below 60° F here, I'm freezing.
