ROTF... who the fuck can use those things?

256MB RAM? 40GB HD? it would crash on me in one hour and be full within a week...

my new custom order is a water-cooled Sony Vaio with 2GB RAM, Pentium4 3.4EE GHz processor, 320 GB HD, etc...

unless that's a gift for mom or some newbie, those boxes are useless in my opinion

Easton 03-04-2005 11:56 PM

for those who want what i got for $2000, here it is... then just upgrade to 2GB RAM :)

I forgot the edit that out :winkwink: But why would you want that? It's not nesscery, your just waisting your money. But this pc is a good budget pc. The cpu could be upgradedl but it's not cost efficient. What's the cost difference with your rig and this?

you think a water-cooled system is a waste of money?
have you tried capturing/editing/rendering video for 12 hours straight? LOL

i melted the motherboard on my last Sony Vaio that i paid $1300 only 7 months ago... if you use a computer like we do, they don't last more than a year

With the right fans you can cool the cpu and computer just as good. But obviously these pcs are not build for people who do hardcore video editing.

It's for people who do web browsing and occasional video editing. (with a few upgrade *ram*)

ffmihai 03-05-2005 12:45 AM

very nice discounts there!

4Pics 03-05-2005 12:47 AM

[After $399 Instant Savings & $150 Mail-in Rebate.] it's $549

I hate mailin rebates, only seem to get about 50% back.

Very weak specs after the basics. Far too little RAM for XP. Shitty HD and shittier optical drive. They really scraped out the insides of this thing to drive the price so low. Still, might be a good deal for someone.
