Postman's got 2 new Visa Gold Cards
 

Royal bank called me today to tell me the our new US Gold cards were "intercepted" after they left post and were used in Ottawa. They only used about 2K.

Sucks for us a little, cards are now about two weeks late and we have to fill out and sign some fraud forms. *shrugs*

Hmmm true. Im gonna ask them how they did that. Then again, what do they ask for..name and address and that was on the evelope.

nah... they ask at least 2 identification items that couldn't be found on the envelope or in your wallet.

most merchants have something known as a floor limit. it's the maximum amount they can pass on a card without requesting an authorization. a good fraudster knows the floor limits of various merchant types and can easily rack up purchases on cards that aren't activated, stolen/closed cards, overlimit cards, etc.

I guess thats why they used only 2k.

That's crazy they were intercepted.
