That's been my theory for quite some time, that we only invaded Iraq because they changed their oil sales to Euro's. IMO it's all about keeping the US dollar as the defacto world currency.

That's a dangerous scenario Crockett and doubt anyone even in OPEC would want to see that crap happen. Some studies suggested that changing to Euro's would result in the US ecomony being like Argentina within a few months.

That would have serious ripple effects all over, not just for the US.

Iraq will end up with it's own "genuine" govt at some time, but doubt even they, as part of OPEC would want to see a financial crisis like that. They have assets in dollar values as well :-)

The Air Force has had plenty of rest time.. If we attacked Iran I doubt we would invade like Iraq. I'm thinking we would send cruise missiles and bombers for a month or so and let them rethink their position for 5 or 10 years under a trade embargo..

They are already begining to favor foreign reserves of Euros and other currencies over US Dollars. Putin has suggested sellling Russian oil in Euros and creating closer ties to Europe.

It's because that's the only other country that Israel fears now. They know that many of the extremists have ran from Iraq over to Iran.

BTW I'm neutral and it's reall just common sence. US donates billions to Israel
each year more then triple then any other to support. And they are the smallest
of them all. The Israeli's spent a billion of it for the most advanced defense field
so they don't get hit. This is and has been a ongoing thing for many many years.
