My host is claiming their data center has been taken over by "authorities."

I don't know if this is local police, FBI whatever.

I don't really feel comfortable knowing that there is someone on the same servers I am using creating a need for the "authorities" to seize them.

I awoke this morning with my sites down.
I waited about an hour before I ICQ'd them.

They tell me their network is down and should be back any time.

I headed out to send off all of my ebay items that have been paid for.

I come home my sites are still down...I ICQ them and they tell me there's another problem....I ask what.
They then tell me authorities seized their data center.

I was just now sent a link by their tech states something about a big bust on warez sites.

Is it time for me to move again?

Back in like 96 I was a courier for a group called gdw. One of the perks was access to some SICK drop sites. Hundreds of gigs of just weekly releases. It was obscene. I was blessed with a 10mbs ether connection back then... and with obviously no ability to burn to cd all of it had to go to disk. Remember when warez always came in 1.4 meg zips? Now its all 1 gig fucking iso's or 15 meg tar'd.

Warez scene died in 97... what exists now is just gaaaaaaaay.

These kids are running terabyte storage units know. I remember one guy I was talking to who ran some dumps for different groups and he was laughing because he had over 500gigs of new movies but he had over 900gigs of porn; and people wonder why they don't get more sales

I believe it, what cable modems have done to warez is insane.

Damn, now I check and my host is down, even their website. I'm not paying attention and I notice I was alerted over an hour ago. I hope they didn't get taken out in these raids too. Only thing I can comfort myself with is that I switched to a new host this week; I just have to change the nameserver on this 1 last domain with the host thats down.
