Grey Goose

Anyone tried it? if so... do you recommend it?

TurboAngel 03-01-2005 11:51 AM

It's one of the better vodkas.

Grey Goose is #2 in my book. #1 goes to kettle one very clean and less hangover the next day.

Kettle on is the best IMO.

Ketel One is the smoothest vodka imaginable. Born of a gentle coal fire under the watchful eye of a Master Distiller, Ketel One is created in limited quantities to preserve its exceptional quality. Only the heart of the distillate, the center of each batch, is considered fine enough to be called Ketel One. The first 100 gallons, and the last, are separated and discarded as being either too harsh or too weak. What remains is consistently the smoothest and most elegant Vodka available. This special technique is time consuming and costly but can only be accomplished by using potstills. The result more than justifies the added care and expense as is readily apparent with the first sampling of Ketel One Vodka.

The Dutch sure know how to make great vodka. The irony is that Ketel One isn't sold that much in Holland, yet its almost the best sold vodka in the USA. In Holland people mostly drink Smirnoff, which is really disgusting compared to Ketel One.

Ketel One and Russian Stolichnaya are my two favourites...

I like Grey Goose and BELVEDERE VODKA... I have a friend who is a bartendar and she said Smirnoff is coming out with a higher end product to compete with Grey Goose and Belvedere....

Bosco 03-01-2005 01:02 PM

i dislike Absolute...smirnoff is the worse vodka ever...i would say...either Kettle , greygoose or Belvedere

Belvedere Vodka
Grey Goose Vodka

i mostly like the french product Grey Goose

MandyBlake 03-01-2005 01:53 PM

Maybe YOU can't compare it, but I sure can. I am Russian and this is a true Russian vodka I've been drinking for years. I love that stuff and won't ever trade it for anything.

In general, it's not bad at all. Sometimes you might get a bad distilling batch, but it's very rare. If you tried it once, got it bad and never tried it again - I suggest you DO try it again. It's awesome.

BTW price does not matter. Grey Goose has very fancy packaging. I am pretty sure that's where half the price of the bottle goes. Stoli prefers to keep it classic, thus saving money on packaging and pushing their long-earner brand.

In a liquor store, I can find 10 different brands of vodka in a range of $20-25 CAD with the quality range far different from the price.

MARAKAS 03-05-2005 04:43 PM

as very big vodka lova , i must to confess, Stoli is suck, grey goose is a big stuff, much smoother and taste are brighter

moltar: bratan, ona tebe nravitsya, potomu chto ti v rossii rodilsya

ARE YOU SERIOUS? =)

It's the standard in the US. But I also prefer Fris or belevedere to it.

dasexi1 03-05-2005 05:12 PM

Grey Goose is good, but Belvedere is better

You don't need to be Russian to agree. Stoli makes one good vodka :thumbsup

After Reading these replies I am going to the cabinet and opening a fresh bottle of Ketel One too much talk about good vodka has me thirsty.
