Does anyone use Vonage??
What are your experiences?
|
Vonage was cool, I hated their fax service.
|
I use it. No complaints so far.
|
It works well, and is cheap.
Thier customer support is VERY VERY VERY BAD I have never had customer support this bad before in my life |
I am just about to get one. I was using one in Brazil and I loved it.
|
it fuckin rocks......however just like anything sometimes service is choppy.
|
fucking love it
|
YARGH! The good ship Chio be Vonage equipt. Virtual numbers be better than refried guppy fins.
Say Ahoy to me first mate Theo The Theologian. He be Shy http://www.xsitespinner.com/theo.jpg |
I really like it...sometimes it is choppy, but for $27 a month (includes taxes) I can blab to all my pals anywhere. What's really cool is they keep a back up number if your internet service goes down, and it works flawlessly...my home phone goes to me cell IF my net goes out...which has happened a few times.

Vonage rocks. I have an occasional glitch here and there but their service people are quick to get problems resolved.......Not sure what Tony's problem is all about.

We've had Vonage for a couple of years now, I've never had to call customer service, so I don't know how bad or good it is. |
We use it for all our communication to the US and Canada since moving to Cancun. Sometimes it's choppy, but for the most part, it rocks! And we use it to send and receive faxes, not the fax service they provide, just our fax machine...just like a regular line phone line:)

vonage is wonderful.
you get all the bells and whistles and its so inexpensive. |
Thanks for all the replies. Much appreciated.
I just signed up with them. It'd be nice if they'd get people that spoke proper English though. |

Been using it about 6 months now. No problems at all. I got the box, plugged it in to my router and that was it.
With caller id, voicemail, and all that its a huge bargain. |

A smarter person would have had an existing Vonage customer refer them. More freebies for both people that way. Oh well...... |

We just hooked up Vonage, based on what was told to us by Aaron M and Brad Mitchell...and so far, so good. |
How do they work with overseas calls (Europe, Russia, etc.)?
From what I've seen all the VoIP companies charge $0.05, etc. per minute which for me is about the same as buying a $10 phone card at the local variety store. Unless I'm mistaken .... ? |
it rocks and I cant wait when they come out with their wifi mobile phone. For 20 bucks a month and its like a cell but it works on wifi
|
I use Lingo, seems to be a better deal than Vonage.
$19.95 a month unlimited US Canada and Western Europe and 3c a min to AUS. Includes all usual call features plus neat stuff like voicemail .wav emails and getting to choose what state or Country your number will be. :thumbsup |
