Try renting the DVD version of The Wall.
The DVD has an option where you can hear
Roger Waters and the cartoon animator
doing commentary on the whole movie.
Its kinda cool cause he explains where
parts of the movie came from his real life
experiences etc. ( Devoted Floyd Fan Stuff )

I also like Pink Floyd.

Yea, the one thing that really irked me was that some songs in The Wall (the movie) are not on the actual album.

But the movie as a whole was really pretty great.

I agree! I even like 'The Final Cut' and listen to it often.

Even Dave's solo stuff is pretty good.

But for me, with a few minor tunes, (Learning to Fly and On the Turning Away)the "Floyd" era ended when Roger waters left the band. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/frown.gif

Well, I've revisted this thread, and I have to say. Pink Floyd really does rock. If any of you have ever listened to the early live stuff (66-67), it's pretty interesting. Right on the front lines of rock for that time. No breaks in music, just solid rocking.

And they've continued through the years to have a major impact in music and performances throughout the world. They pushed concept albums to the next level, even beyond that of the Beatles and the Who. Their ability to write, perform, and display the music in multiple formats goes farther and more details than almost any other performers.

By the way, the Wall album came out before the Movie was put together. That's why some of the samples/songs don't exactly mesh up between the two.

Anyways, they've sold over 150 million albums. They continue to sell over a million a year yet today. Over 8,000 Dark Side of the Moon Albums are sold each week just in the US. They did something right.

I like all pink floyd.
One of my old fav's is 'fearless'.
