The tabacco leaves were stored in a dark damp storage, Gurkha bought out the whole lot sent them to the Dominican republic and had their Top Rollers roll these amazing cigars!!! |
Where'd you order them from? I've seen a few websites selling "pre embargo" cigars but naturally I'm a bit skeptical.
|
Damn..they must be expensive :pimp

We bought 2 boxes of them here in AZ at a local cigar shop. They are not "too" bad $29 each since we got 48 of them There is a restaurant here in AZ that sells the 1949 for $150 each. Now that is too much to pay for one of these cigars. :upsidedow |
Most I've ever paid for a cigar was $15. Don't even remember what it was any more....
I have a couple of cuban's left from a trip to the caribbean..... they're good smokes..... |
sounds pretty sweet, what are you enjoying it with??? little port? little bourbon? little cheese? how 'bout some quince?

Damn, that must be a good cigar! My favorite's lately have been some Dominican's that my local cigar shop get's. They are $22 I think, so not too spendy, but not too cheap. I like em :)
|
I don't know that a person can smoke a cigar that old.
|
It was such a long time I had a cigar. What would you recommend to buy?
|

That's tough question to answer. Do you like a cigar that has a bite? or do you want it to be smooth ?? There are so many to choose from. You have to taste and see what you like but here are a couple to start with. If you are able to get cubans then I highly recommend the Romeo y Julieta Romeos #3 deluxe If you can only get non cuban then I have a few favorites Zino Platinum or any other Davidoff or the Sancho Panza Good luck :thumbsup |
jealous :(
|
What's one of those worth? I enjoy a ciger once in a while too!!

Never got behind the deal with cigars.. Makes you feel really rich or what?
|
Quote:
haha no. It's hard to explain. It is very relaxing to sit down and enjoy a nice cigar. It's like trying to explain why you enjoy a nice glass of wine. What makes me feel rich is being happy as a person and happy in my life not my money! |
It's like with Whisky. I love it.
Dim the lights, light the oil lamps. Put on some good soft music maybe and then you can sit for hours in the arm chair trying to solve the earthly problems :) The taste, the sniffing, the setting, everything - it's just a relaxing feeling. |
