Plus the admin isn't very userfriendly. Everytime you make a modifications, you have to rebuild the pages. The navigation in the admin itself is horrible. Some settings are so well hidden I had to post on their forum to ask them how to find them. Even though you can modify alot, there are still things the script doesn't want you to change. For some reason you can't edit the superadmin username once you choose it. A plus side is that you can modify the templates to your own liking, but I had to spend hours to get it the way I wanted, and it's still not 100% the way I want it. I'm not a newbie when it comes to scripting and all these things I've come across so far just annoyed the hell out of me. I would advice a weblog script that is more userfriendly, easier to modify and isn't put together by just a bunch of programmers. On my next blog install I won't be using Pivot for sure. I hope this answers your question. |

First script I tried was WordPress. The shit was so easy, I had a blog up that night and never bothered to test any other scripts out. Version 1.5 came out only recently, so there aren't too many themes available as there are for older verisons of Wordpress. I just downloaded a theme with a layout that I liked, then customized it a bit to my liking. It seems that blog-style websites in general, still have very low standards for aesthetics..
