I took a look at the page and nothing seemed out of order.

12,000 hits in 3 minutes...the link to his hosting company fly's at the bottom. Hosted for FREE with free in big capital letters.

Then you link to the flyers and he links to arles' image creator. for fuck sakes ill create the designs in photoshop and you can put them up there and take down all those links.

I am not sure where the scam is... he is asking for no money on this site.

He saw an oppurtunity and took advantage....contacted media outlets and told them about the site he was doing for "free". Thousands of hits a minute and hundreds of click throughs.

his intentions of registering the site was to generate traffic and click throughs to his hosting. its so obvious...if it was really a gesture of goodwill he would take down the link and the words FREE in bold letters. its just distasteful.

Whetehr his intenstions are to profit with his link at teh bottom is not really anyones concern.. The overall objective for this website is to help the family out and that's what it is doing. Now if he turns aorund and puts adult links up or swaps teh page out to a TGP then that's a different story.

As for the donations he will be asking for the family maybe someone should step forward and look after that end of the deal to make sure the money is safe. If the family has a paypal account setup and are willing to contact me to give me the information and prove it's them then I'LL do it up for them. Anyone who knows me knows that I am NOT a scammer and have NEVER stolen anything from anyone in this biz EVER.

The girl doesn't have a desease or anything. She is missing.
How are donations going to help find her ?

Donations to help with the family. The father is the sole bread winner of the family making $9.50 an hour and has been off of work since his child's dissapearance. There are costs that the family needs to cover somehow such as the money needed to print off flyers and distribute around the area.

Money may not help the girl directly but it can keep them going in their struggle to find her.

The parents are probably not going to be able to work for a while with all this going on. I know I couldn't get any work done if one of my kids was kidnapped. I assume they could use it to cover the bills for a while.

On a somewhat related note, I know a local guy that did a fundraiser for his son because he was born mentally disabled. One of the first things he did after they received the money was to buy a 65" big screen HDTV and a chandelier for his house. I guess that helps his son somehow.

If jessicamarielunsford.com is a scam then her father is in on it. He announced the site at the press conference the family had a couple hours ago.

nobody here is calling it a scam. its just someone capitalizing off a very bad situation. In show of good faith David should take down the links to his hosting company...its in bad taste :2 cents: It makes me sick to my stomach to read the thread in where he boasts about the 12,000 hits in 3 minutes :disgust

I'm under the impression (i do not know for a fact) that he cyber squatted the domain name before the family had any idea. and through means of social engineering he was put in touch. I have no doubt that any monies donated will make there way to the family...I just know bad faith when i see it when it comes to him hosting the domain name for the family.

I'm done on this topic. I guess I'll just sit back and watch things unfold.

Just a random thought that crossed my mind: If he's been squattig on the domain, how long has he and is this entire thing a setup?

Hooray for conspiracy theories. But for what reason else would someone either own or squat on that particular domain?

I'm more watching and thinking than anything. Maybe I'm off on a really wrong thought.
